  • Do not lift or lower your head too quickly during exercises. When moving from a standing posture to a seated one, it is advisable to roll gently with the head. A fast and straight descent is less advisable. If you switch too quickly, you may become dizzy.
  • Be careful with exercises where the head is lower than the pelvis. In the long run, these exercises can help lower blood pressure, but it is not advisable to lie directly on your head for 3 minutes.
  • Do not let your head hang down for a long time.
  • Do exercises that open your chest so you have more room to breathe from the pelvis into the chest. For example, the cobra pose or the warrior pose.
  • Move within your own limits. Learn to challenge yourself, but don’t force yourself. This actually has a negative effect on yourself and can lead to physical discomfort.

Yoga breathing and high blood pressure
